Nordisk Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries
Filmkontakt Nord has organised Nordisk Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries in conjunction with Nordisk Panorama - 5 Cities Film Festival since 1994. Nordisk Forum has developed into the main funding event for professionals involved in the Nordic documentary community, taking place during the Festival in order to maximise the professional benefits of the event
This year's edition of Nordisk Forum takes place in Bergen, Norway 27-28 September and welcomes documentary projects from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Greenland, The Faroe Islands, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
The general format of the two-day event remains the same: a total maximum of 24 projects will be selected for pitching during the morning sessions before lunch, and the pre-booked individual meetings will take place during the afternoon.

New Initiatives
Producers Meet Producers
This year, Nordisk Forum for Co-financing of Documentaries will kick off already on Sunday morning with a brand new Producers Meet Producers event. 22 Nordic and Baltic production companies will get the chance to present themselves and their ambitions to each other. The presentations will be followed by an afternoon of Speed Dating designed to facilitate the efforts to find suitable partners and form the bonds necessary to access funds across borders. Production companies accepted for the Forum as either pitchers or observers can sign up for the event, but priority will be given to pitching companies. We are looking forward to many good matches being made!
UK Delegation
To facilitate connections outside the Nordic countries, Nordisk Forum this year welcomes a small delegation of UK production companies. The main part will be observers on equal terms with their Nordic colleagues, while two companies will be invited to pitch their projects at the Forum. The UK production companies will also participate in the Producers Meet Producers event, where they will explain the UK production landscape further and present themselves. Furthermore we will welcome a number of UK commissioning editors and sales agents to the pitching and meeting tables.
